How to organize bathroom drawers
Today I’m sharing my organized bathroom drawers. Finally had some time to actually get this done, been on my to-do list forever!
Organized bathroom drawers FINALLY checked! Doing the happy dance!

The bathroom is typically one place that can get so easily messy and unorganized, (at least that’s the case in our house)
Especially if you have kids, mornings can be crazy! With kids running around, you typically can’t find what you’re looking for.
And when you do find it, you’re in such a hurry there’s no time to be bothered putting it back!
It can be crazy, I know! And that’s just another reason that shows it can be a good idea to have a system that easily helps you stay organized.
When it comes to organizing, I personally like to always maximize the space I have available.
The reason behind this is simply because when you organize you should always have in mind the end goal.
My goal is that I want everything to have its own dedicated spot so that I always find what I’m looking for.
And for me, I always find it easier to stay organized for the long run when I purposely don’t leave any extra space in the drawer/cabinet.
In that way, there’s just no space left to get cluttered.
I’ve also always preferred drawers for storage, rather than cabinets.
With cabinets, if you don’t have it all perfectly organized is just so easy to just through a whole bunch of stuff in there, and you typically can’t see what you actually HAVE in there.

But with drawers! When you have everything neatly organized in the drawer is so practical to just pull out the drawer and have a total overview of everything inside the drawer.
Beautifully organized bathroom drawers can certainly put a smile on my face, any day.
Staying organized just makes me happy!
And having well-organized bathroom drawers can also definitely save you a lot of time (and headache!) when you actually find everything you’re looking for.
5 Easy Steps To Super Organized Bathroom Drawers
1. Empty the bathroom storage drawers
Please don’t try to skip this step! This is such an important step if you really want to organize your drawers, just once and for all.
Every single item in the drawers needs to be taken out of and be sorted.
Only keep the stuff you actually use or know that you will need.
Moisturizers/lipsticks/make-up etc you haven’t used for the last 5 years, you probably don’t need to keep..
2. Sort
Sort like-items together. Have in mind what feels natural to you. I like to sort items according to their use, but also what items I use often and need to find easily.
For those magic extra organized bathroom drawers, sort everything according to size, color and also how everything looks next to each other. When you have everything sorted out, start to think about how you can maximize your bathroom drawers with the perfect containers.
3.Plan and measure the bathroom drawers
This step is crucial if you really want to maximize your drawers storage space.
Grab a piece of paper, pen, and a measuring tape and measure your drawers. Draw up a simple sketch with all your measurements.
Sketch up a rough drawing of the placement you would like in your drawers.
Keep in mind where you would like to store the different grouping of items, and what kind of container would be most suitable.
I promise if you actually do this step, it will save you so much time! Eyeballing the containers at Ikea, and crossing your fingers that it will fit in your drawer can be risky.
You usually end up with something that doesn’t fit perfect.
Then again you’re wasting precious storage when you always should think about using every inch in your drawers effectively.
4. Shop bathroom drawer storage
Now finally to the fun part, shopping for the containers and storage solutions you actually need for your organized bathroom drawers.
Search your local store for containers/small baskets/boxes that fit your drawer and your budget.
Remember step 3, and be sure to bring along your measurements and sketches so you can be sure that whatever you find, actually fits in your drawer.

5. Place the storage in the bathroom vanity drawers
So now you have all your containers, all you need to do is place them in your drawers and fill them up.
For an extra organized feel, you can of course also label/ mark the containers with a marker.
I’m so glad I finally got to organize these drawers, made such a huge difference! From not really wanting to even open these drawers – to now!
I purposely open the bathroom drawers just to enjoy some organizing bliss! I feel like a crazy person sometimes, that’s for sure.
Dreaming of a house with every inch perfectly organized!
