I can’t believe it’s almost the first of December already! Which means the countdown for Christmas has begun. Even though I already knew I wanted to make a DIY Advent Calendar months ago, but as usual, I’m always doing everything last minute (I hope I’m not the only one!)

In between all the gift shopping, Christmas decorating, and dinner preparations Christmas really feels like a non-stop race where the days just go by so fast. It’s usually, the same every year now isn’t it!
WHY YOU SHOULD MAKE A DIY ADVENT CALENDAR
There’s always so much going on during the holidays, I always feel it’s so easy to lose track of time.
That’s why I really love to have those every year traditions to look forward to. We always have an advent calendar to help us count down towards the big day!
This year DIY Advent Calendar had to be super fast to make, budget-friendly, and be easy to hang up on the wall.
And what’s special with this advent calendar is that it doubles as a beautiful Christmas wall decor AND provides yummy chocolate treat every day!
Keep your kids (or maybe your husband or your wife?) excited about the holidays with this easy to make DIY Advent Calendar with a foil-covered chocolate heart for every day in December.
I know there are so many options if you want to buy an Advent calendar, but instead of spending your time searching for the perfect advent calendar, why not spend some time making your own DIY Advent calendar instead?

- Attach all the chocolate hearts to your frame
And that’s pretty much it! Now you can leave your advent calendar just like this, or you can add some extra decor if you like.
I wanted to add a little extra Christmas touch to the calendar. So I decided to make a bow of some red satin ribbon and just attache it to the frame. Attach the bow easily using just some tape. Super simple, but looks really beautiful
I’ve left the inside of the hearts white with space to write a lite note or a message.
